Instead we need a new model of university, a Future Uni.We believe that we need to improve our universities to ensure that all students have meaningful and powerful learning experiences, are prepared to enter the working world after graduation, and develop strong and diverse networks.
In order to do this, we need to radically re-think how we define universities. Revamping a model that has remained static for centuries will not be enough to ensure that the current generation of students is able to maximise their potential and respond to the challenges of the 21st century.
Current government policy aimed at marketising the university sector will not be sufficient to promote institutional creativity and to support new entrants, so we need to think of new solutions.
